Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026

The deal

Crack is built for advertising professionals, by one. It's operated by Crack Creative. By using the app, you're agreeing to these terms — and to our Privacy Policy, which is part of them. Neither document is longer than it needs to be.

Use it for work

Crack exists to help you make better creative work. Use it for that. Don't use it to generate unlawful content, and don't attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract outputs from the service. You know what we mean.

You get trial credits on sign-up. The retainer is billed monthly and can be cancelled any time — cancellation stops future billing immediately, and your access runs to the end of the period you've paid for.

What we make together

Crack generates creative concepts using AI informed by decades of award-winning work. Like any creative process — human or otherwise — outputs may bear similarity to existing work. It's your responsibility to conduct appropriate clearance checks before any commercial use. That's true of ideas from any source.

We don't claim ownership of anything you generate. Take it, develop it, bin it — it's yours.

What we're not responsible for

Crack is provided as-is. We've built it carefully, but we make no warranties about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for losses arising from your use of the service — including, yes, reliance on a generated concept that didn't land with the client.

Your account

Your login is yours. Keep it secure. If you share access, you're responsible for how it's used. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms — we'd rather not, but we will.

Fair use

The retainer includes 25 briefs a month; past that, briefs are $2 each, added to your next bill. A brief is counted when you crack one: "Crack the brief," "Try a different direction," or "Crack 5 more from this insight" — each returns a new set of concepts and counts as one. Working what you already have doesn't count: + One more concept, tweaks, re-scamps and exports are part of the brief you cracked. A brief is one person briefing by hand. The retainer does not cover automated or scripted submission, sharing one account across several people, or reselling Crack's output as a service. If your usage looks like one of those, we'll email you before anything else happens. If it continues after we've talked, we can pause the account. Heavy use by one working creative is never the problem — that's what the retainer and the $2 are for.

If things change

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use the app means you've accepted the updated terms. We also reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service — though we have no intention of doing so.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. To the extent permitted by local law, you agree that the courts of Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these terms.
